A couple of weeks back we decided that the residency was taking a bit too long. The reason for that is we don't have a car, but if we want to buy a car we have to have residency, so we went to the Town Hall of Ostuni ( the city we live in ) and asked what they still needed for our residency. The lady there was really mean and then she said we needed an Italian bank account so we went to a bank and asked for a bank account and we put some money on there. We went back to the same lady and then she said that we needed to buy a stamp. We asked her what else we needed and then she gave us a list of things needed for residency. We had every thing on there except the stamp. They sell these in tabaccherias, which are a lot like gas station stores. We went there and bought one, but buy the time we got back the Town Hall of Ostuni was closed ! We went back the very next morning and gave her every thing on the list. Once she saw all of that she said you need health care as well. This was not on her own piece of paper so my dad confronted her and she kept on refusing. She took it to her colleague and the colleague agreed with our point of view. We were of course very happy and we got the request for residency filed that day. Next we had to wait on a police guy who would come to our house within the next 45 days to check if we actually live there. When he has confirmed this, your residency is a fact. The next work day was Monday which meant that our dad would have to go to work, meaning we were stuck in the house the whole day without a car. You might think it's not that big of a deal being home all day, but we don't have WIFI in our house so you can't watch YouTube, Netflix, or Roblox all we had was data on our phone we can play Roblox by turning on a hot spot, but Netflix and YouTube use too much data, so those days at home went by really slow. On Wednesday we had to go grocery shopping but we still didn't have a car so we had to go on foot to the super market the super market is about 25 to 30 minutes away on foot so we said that we would walk there every Wednesday. While we were all alone at home all day we met a cat and named her Olive. She was very shy in the beginning, but she's starting to open up. She comes to the door and sits there until one of us goes out and feeds her. Yesterday we had a really big storm here (yes, even a tornado - they must be following us) and Olive kept looking inside as if she wanted to say "please let me in". Dad decided she should go sleep in the laundry room and so she did. I put some pillows there and a little tennis ball to play with. She's gotten used to the laundry room and I put her food in there from now on.
